SoulKadi celebrates the breadth of Maharashtra’s food culture. The experience brings recipes together with the ingredients, regions, festivals and personal stories that give them meaning, from the Konkan coast to culinary traditions across the state. It is designed for people who want to cook a dish and understand where it comes from.
The public site provides paths into recipes, regions, ingredients, festivals, stories and products. Visitors can browse by interest and search the growing collection, while the content team can manage entries and their search metadata through an admin system. The project pairs warm editorial storytelling with a playful visual language so that food, memory and place feel connected.
SoulKadi is built to grow as more authentic content and photography are added. Its structured pages make room for clear recipe instructions, cultural context and discovery across related subjects without reducing Maharashtra’s varied cuisines to one generic list.
Maharashtrian cuisine changes dramatically across regions, communities and seasons. A recipe-only presentation would miss the relationship between a dish, its ingredients, its place of origin and the occasions on which it is made. SoulKadi needed a way to make this range approachable and enjoyable to explore.
We organized the experience around connected content types: recipes, regions, ingredients, festivals, stories and products. This gives readers several ways to enter the collection and lets the editorial team add and refine material through the admin panel. Search and contextual links support discovery as the collection grows.
The visual direction is joyful and approachable, with rounded cards, soft shapes and a vivid palette of pink, purple, blue and warm yellow. The personality draws from Maharashtra while leaving space for food photography and the different character of each region.
The site uses content-managed public pages, detailed routes for its main collections, site search and dynamic page metadata. The admin workflow supports ongoing updates to content and SEO fields, keeping the public experience aligned with the latest published material.
SoulKadi now has a ready-to-grow website for sharing Maharashtrian recipes, food stories and regional culture. Its structure supports continued publishing as original content and images are prepared.
